Skeleton Key

The doors, cabinets and clocks they once opened have been long forgotten or claimed by time. Enchant these antique keys to open doors to other worlds, or use them in spells to open the way and remove obstacles in life. Combine them with a hagstone (a stone with a natural hole through it) for a house protection charm. These keys also make a suitable talisman or offering for Dame Hecate, or Hermes the Wayfarer.

As the name suggests, hollow barrel keys have a hollow barrel (the long part) that is open at the end. They can therefore be filled with name papers, herbs, sigils on parchment, etc. for use in divination and magic.
