Balsam Poplar

Also called Balm of Gilead (which is properly a tree in the myrrh family), balsam poplar is used in hoodoo spells to reconcile folks, ease past heartache, and bring peace to the home. Other magicians steep these highly resinous buds in olive oil to make an oil used for sanctification, or they may be used in incenses for the purposes of spirit summoning.
