Laha and Dar are inexpensive Makko substitutes. Like Makko, they absorb water and act as a binder for self-burning incense. Red Laha is the inside part of the bark and is excellent for making incense sticks and cones. It is almost odorless, burns evenly and smoothly and is finely powdered.
