Lavender essential oil has a myriad of uses in aromatherapy. Most commonly it is used to balance moods; it is uplifting when we are depressed and sedating when we are manic. It is also often used in sleeping and dreaming blends; using essential oils in an enclosed aroma lamp is generally safer than burning incense or large candles. Lavender oil is also put on minor burns to soothe the area.
