Jasmine has a thick and haunting fragrance. It is often added to anointing oils and soaps for its sensuous quality and adds a depth floral blends. It can be added to incense by putting a few drops in the alcohol or water used to bind the mixture so that it is well-dispersed. A small amount will impart a noticeable fragrance.

Jasmine also has associations with psychic abilities and opening perception. We add it to our Spirits of the Dead oil for just this purpose. Also, in the Southern US, the presence of ghosts is said to be accompanied by the scent of jasmine flowers, so we feel that its inclusion is especially appropriate.
